Dan Bott of LIQUID LOGIC and Buddy Spear of DR. BONES first met in Las Vegas in 1999 while performing together on the fledgling local music scene. Several years later In 2012, after writing an albums worth of original material for "the Project" they decided to form a band to record and perform. In October 2013, while playing as local cover band SWITCHBACK, they began to audition a rhythm section and within a few rotations, the remaining members were found in James Leyba & Eddie Two Moons Chavez. Officially "the project" became WORD IN EDGEWISE. With a combination of fresh grooves and tasty melodies WORD IN EDGEWISE draws on influences from across the country. In the suddenly emerging Las Vegas music scene, it's time to get a WORD IN EDGEWISE

Lead Guitarist Bud Spear is from Long Island New York and Dan Bott is from Shreveport Louisiana. Drummer James Leyba and Bassist Eddie Two Moons are both from Albuquerque, New Mexico  We are not your typical Rock and Roll band. We like to write original music that stands out in the crowd with huge Choruses, separate melodies on all instruments , especially our vocal melody lines, which helps to create  a Hard Rockin' & Drivin'  sound that is unique with our own twist. We put our  minds ,hearts body and soul into each song we write while pulling from a wide array of influences from STP to Elton John. What sets us apart from other original bands is we strive to layer our music in such a way just as a ...."A painter paints pictures on canvas.
